Iimpedance spectroscopy

Post by ozcarlosa » Fri Sep 13, 2019 2:54 am

Can I to implement a impedance spectroscopy system with PS 2204A using oscilloscope and function generator functionalities? (I need only 10MHz BW)

Hi,
You want to try doing a spectrum plot of real and imaginary parts of the signal like image on the top right of - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dielectric_spectroscopy?

We have some maths channel examples that do this already for power factor application - https://www.picotech.com/support/topic21771.html?&p=141817&hilit=power+factor#p141722
But these maths channels won't in FFT mode in PicoScope 6. As they calculate the average over a waveform buffer, not per cycle.
So I would try using the 3rd party FRA4Picoscope application with this new tool-
