Measure 0.1Hz to 1MHz

I have a PicoSpope 2204A and use it with MATLAB.

My problem:
I would like to measure the spectrum from 0.1Hz to 1MHz. As guideline I took the PS2000_IDFastStreaming_SimpleTrig_Example.m. Now I have the problem that I couldn’t measure as low as 0.1Hz. I tried to increase the number of samples, but then an overflow is occurred. On the other side, when I try to lower down the sampling interval then also an error occurs.

Is it possible that the PicoScope can’t measure up to 1 MHz? Or am I using the wrong mode for this? And how can I measure 10 seconds to see down to the 0.1Hz frequencies?

Hi stigers,

The PicoScope 2204A has a 10 MHz bandwidth but in streaming mode, there is a risk of losing data as it is is a low memory device.

Is your signal composed of a range of frequencies? What is the signal source? Have you tried performing some measurements using the PicoScope software in the first instance to see what is possible?
