Re: Old aged MATLAB, R2009A can control PICOSCOPE 5000D?

Hi We don't test with versions earlier than 2015b, so have no information whether 2009a is able to support the running of one of our scopes It is possible to control the scope without the instrument control toolbox, if you want more information about this method please email into support@picotech.com

Re: How is Samples setting default derived?

Hi

The 2205A has an internal memory of 16k which is why that's the default when its connected in PicoScope 6

Re: Is there a way to trigger the scope via software?

Hi That is correct if you have no trigger set on calling runBlock it will immediately collect the full number of samples asked for i.e pre-trigger + post-trigger. There isn't a way to use a software trigger for collection, you would need to set up an appropriate trigger to collect pre-trigger sample...

Re: picoscope 3206MSO timebase

Hi

We have repository that contains the code that we have created to support our devices as well as examples to show how to use the API functions for the various scope families

Re: Latest Picoscope 6 for WIN XP

Hi

You can download the XP compatible version here https://www.picotech.com/download/softw ... _11_12.exe

The pssettings files from v6.13 wouln't work with the XP version so you would need to recreate them.

Re: Math channel (average function) in MATLAB

Hi

The average function in the maths channels in PicoScope 6 averages multiple waveform captures together rather than doing any kind of averaging within a single waveform capture.

Re: Picoscope 6 Command Line Automation Syntax

Hi There is no documentation for the command line automation commands. The best way to find out the syntax is to go to the Tools menu in PicoScope 6 then open the Macro Recorder. In this press record and then do what you'd want to get the commands for and it will show what the syntax for that action...

Re: Using Simple Trigger for ps4000a in MATLAB

You could do that with streaming mode but have you considered using the rapid block mode? This allows the scope memory to be segmented and then for it to trigger that number of times without requiring a trigger rearm command from the PC between each capture so that way you could collect multiple cap...

Re: Capture time only shows 1 second resolution

Hi It isn't possible to get ms resolution as PicoScope 6 uses UTC time for determining its time stamps which is limited to a second resolution. The capture time reflects when the data has been pulled into PicoScope 6 rather than when it was captured on the device as the device itself has no concept ...

Re: Using Simple Trigger for ps4000a in MATLAB

Hi In streaming mode the scope will collect data from when the runStreaming command is called, the trigger can't be used to start this type of data capture, it can indicate a single point where the trigger condition was met. If you provide more information about what exactly you're trying to do with...

Re: Measuring strain gage signal using Picoscope 3424

Hi

Are you able to post a psdata file with the captured data so I can have a closer inspection?
(If you can't post it on here you can send it into support@picotech.com)
Do you have an example or sketch of what you're expecting the waveforms to be like?

Re: High pass filter in math channel

Hi Leo

The values in the brackets for the high pass filter should be separated by a comma rather than a semi-colon, e.g HighPass(A,10000) then you should stop getting the syntax error.

Re: Windows does not see the scope

Hi

Is your version o Windows 7 up to date with windows updates? If not could you update to the latest version.
Then can you try uninstalling PicoScope 6, deleting the AppData and folder in Program Files (x86) for PicoScope then reinstall PicoSocpe 6 and see if this persists?
