Re: Picoscope 5000 series api using with Labwindows/cvi

Hello, We don't offer Labwindows/CVI examples, but do have standard C examples. You will find these here- https://github.com/picotech/picosdk-c-examples To use these you will need to first install the Software Development Kit from our website at: https://www.picotech.com/download Step 1, select your...

Re: PicoScope 3000 not detectected by Picoscope 6

Please work through the first three sections of the Frequently Asked Questions and if this does not resolve the issues. Was the scope working? Did it stop working after you updated Picoscope software? What OS are you using? (The Linux version has just been updated due issues with scopes using the ol...

Re: CM3 USB logger

Hi Marius,

Using a low input impedance on the CM3 won't help.
Using a scope like the 2204A would be a lot better to seen current transients. No settling time issues, and faster sampling.
Note the 2204A is currently supported in Picoscope 6 but also PicoLog 5 software.

Re: 6403D ADC Voltage

Hi, The 6403D has 8-bit ADCs, but the driver returns scaled 16-bit data types (int16_t) (This is the case with all our 8-bit scopes) See page 4 of the users guide for max and min ADC values. https://www.picotech.com/download/manuals/picoscope-6000-series-programmers-guide.pdf So as you said 1V DC si...

Re: GetStreamingLatestValues() - 'PICO_BUSY'

Yes polling the status code in loop is better. Like this-

(pseudo code)
While PICO_BUSY == true
(...wait 1ms,
check again)
then grab the data from buffer

Our LabVIEW example does something like this but uses the wrapper functions.

Re: LabVIEW for PicoScope 4424 - 4000GetBlock.vi Error 1097

Yes you need to use the correct versions of the examples that match your version of LabVIEW. ie 32-bit example with 32-bit LabVIEW As a few of the data types are different for dll function calls. But code should be the same. See forum post- https://www.picotech.com/support/topic12601.html see point ...

Re: Picoscope 5243A Complex Triggering

Hi, This looks like a good application to use streaming with a trigger. Triggering in streaming mode is different to block modes. The API/dll will tell you where it has triggered ie the sample number in the block of returned samples. The Wrapper function called IsTriggerReady returns a flag which is...

Re: trigger doesn't work under stream mode?

Hi Liu, What version of LabVIEW are you using 32 or 64 bit? Do you want to stream samples from the unit? Streaming mode means with no gaps With three channels that's only 39MHz sample rate. (156MS/s max for USB 3 divided 4 channels) Or Run the unit in rapid block mode with triggering? 500 samples at...

Hi Christoph, I would setup a directory structure as follows- \shared\PicoScope.llb \ps2000\32-bit-examples\ When opening the vi you maybe asked to locate vi's PicoScope.llb contains the following vi's- PicoErrorHandler.vi PicoScopeAdcToVolts.vi PicoStatus.vi rms.vi VoltsAmpsVectors.vi The rest shou...

Re: TC08 (USB) "Crosstalk" between channels

Hi Dave, Issue is most likely caused by common mode voltage issue. If voltage is greater than +/-7.5V on the input to USB ground, the channel is pulled out of he common mode range of the TC-08. This can causes all channels to read very incorrect values. The issue can be on one channel, or between ch...

Re: Simple Question? External Trigger 4262

In PicoScope 6 software the external trigger range is set to ±5 V, and never changes.
If you are using the SDK, make sure you set the range to one or other.

Re: Offset zero in 3424 series

Could you send in a psdata file of the signal?
The zero button is only a digital offset of the voltage range - ( done after the ADC)
The PicoScope 3424 and 4424 don't offer a analog offset (before ADC) like some of our other scopes (current 300 series).
