Re: Software for Mac

Hi coffeysh,

That's just it, key aspects of the development environment are platform independent, so there WON'T be the usual extra work for each platform, which is why I said the Windows, Mac, And Linux versions would always be up-to-date with the latest features.

Re: How to connect and synchronize 4824 8 channel and 5444b 4 channel picoscope

Hi Muhammad, It is possible to capture data from more than 1 PicoScope at the same time, but not by using our PicoScope 6 software. You would have to either use our PicoLog software (which would limit the sample rate to 1kHz, or below) or by creating your own application using our Software Developme...

Re: Calibration

Hi u1128568, You can compensate the probes (adjust the frequency response of them) if they are adjustable. If you want to adjust the compensation for the standard probes that come with the PicoScope 2204A, then the documentation showing how to do that is on our website here: https://www.picotech.com...

Re: Software for Mac

Hi coffeysh, The Mac software you talk about is the PicoScope 6 Beta, which has some issues (missing features, bugs, etc). So rather than fix this software, only for it to always be a few steps behind what is in the Windows software we decided to completely re-write the software so that the Windows,...

Re: Two question about Picoscope 2204A

Hi hobby2020,

What makes you think that connecting a PC Scope to your laptop will damage it?

As far as I am aware, there is no newer entry level PicoScope planned for the near future, but, again, why do you ask?

Re: TA189 to measure startup/in-rush current

Hi Travis, The frequency bandwidth would be more than enough, you would just need to ensure that the clamp can manage the current peak and reproduce the voltage peak, so it would depend upon the expected peak current value. For instance in this specifc application: https://www.picoauto.com/support/t...

Re: USB socket reliability

Hi rj, I would strongly advise against trying to go retro on this one. For starters, you will have even more connections to worry about. Also there are only very specific USB to serial adaptors that you can use with a very specific driver, which could complicate things significantly, if for instance...

Re: How to connect and synchronize 4824 8 channel and 5444b 4 channel picoscope

Hi waqas243 , Unfortunately, you can only synchronize our 6000 series PiocScopes for an entire capture. For our other PicoScopes, you can synchronize the start of the capture periods by sending the same signal to one input channel of each PicoScope to be able to get them to trigger within 1 sample p...

Re: Can I use PicoScope 2204A as an oscilloscope and function generator simultaneously?

Hi hobby2020, Yes, you can. The reason that the Sig Gen was included in the hardware was for that specific purpose, and you will find many different ways of doing that in our PicoScope 6 software, along with software written by customers (using our Software Development Kit) and made available for ot...

Re: Deep Measure measurement table export

Hi rfm56, Deep Measure is a function written in PicoScope 6 and PicoScope 6 communicates with the hardware PicoScope through the driver. In contrast, the API interacts directly with functions in the driver, so there is no Deep Measure function in the driver (you would have to write one). Regards, Ge...

Re: Isolated channels on 2000-series USB-Scopes

Actually, only the 4225 and 4425 have isolated channel grounds at their inputs (330kΩ). The PicoScope 4444 has differential inputs, but not isolated grounds.

Re: Deep Measure measurement table export

Hi rfm56, Deep Measure is a feature that was implemented a long time after the Command Line functionality was created. The CLI was originally implemented as a test suite for our development team, from which they have long since moved on. We get requests from time to time for the inclusion of additio...

Hi theHeatingEngineer,

You could look at implementing this experiment: https://www.picotech.com/library/experiment/magnetic-induction-faradays-laws, followed by this one: https://www.picotech.com/library/experiment/dynamo.

Re: pico measurements produces large noise

Hi Yuval_Kuper, Sorry for the delay in answering (we have had a large work load followed by a change in working arrangements due to the Coronovirus). You can implement what is being done in PicoScope 6 in program code. A filter is likely to impact your signal, so that would net be a good choice, whi...

Yes the Probe will work with that model of PicoScope.

Here are custom Probe files for inputs of the PicoScope:
