Re: Save 4 channels in one pdf

Hi Viral, You have the individual waveforms separated into different views, and you can only have one view active at any one time. So, if you want to save all the waveforms in the same file you will have to close 3 of the views and then reselect the channels containing the waveforms from the closed ...

Re: automatic calculation of average, autosave after hotkey

Hi Vincent, Actually you wouldn't need a Macro just to save a previously created set of waveforms. We have the ability to use keyboard short-cuts in PicoScope 6, and you can save a CSV file of all three channels (i.e. including the maths average channel) using a keyboard shortcut of your choice by c...

Re: Using Measurements on Low Pass filter waveform

Hi PicoPilot, Regarding Measurements, PicoScope 6 doesn't discriminate between a Signal Channel and a Maths Channel, so it will perform calculations based upon the sample values or generated values that it finds in a buffer. For peak-to-peak measurements the calculation is done for minima and maxima...

Re: Please clarify which data Whole Trace includes

Hi PicoPilot Sorry I misunderstood your question, I thought you were referring to the instantaneous measurement. If you are capturing measurement statistics, rather than just making an instantaneous measurements then the capture count relates to the number of buffers used for the calculation where t...

Re: Please clarify which data Whole Trace includes

Hi PicoPilot , A measurement is always performed on the data that has been captured, and then stored in a buffer, which is then represented by the trace drawn, or being drawn on the screen. In fast sampling mode, a measurement for the whole trace applies to the trace that has already been drawn at t...

Re: Performance of Picoscope 4262 does not reach expectation

Hi Audio Guy, Thanks for posting the data files. I can see what you are referring to now. As I'm sure you are aware, the signal bandwidth specification applies to the frequency domain (not the time domain) the bandwidth maximum being the 3dB point on a frequency plot. That point for the PicoScope 42...

Re: Total power in spectrum mode

Hi Tom, Unfortunately this is an error in our software. The calculation is done correctly in PicoScope 6.12 and later versions of software, and calculated as: power = (sum of (V^2)) / impedance You can download our latest Beta (version 6.12.1 from here: https://www.picotech.com/downloads/_lightbox/P...

Re: Internal Resistance of Probes & 2206A

Hi tstauffer,

The output resistance of the AWG is a 600Ω, and the input resistance of a channel input is 1MΩ.

A x1 probe has a small resistance of about 50Ω, and a x10 probe has resistance of 9MΩ. When plugged into the oscilloscope the x1 probe has 1MΩ and x10 has 10MΩ

Re: LO-pass filtering when in roll mode

Hi Albertoge, Slow sampling Mode (what you refer to as roll Mode) is where the waveform data being collected by the hardware is effectively sent to the computer as it is being collected, rather than waiting until all the data for the waveform has been collected and then transferring it the computer ...

Re: Intel Skylake bug and Picoscope software

Hi derryuk, Unfortunately, as this is a 3rd party hardware/firmware issue, and we have limited information at this point in time, there is no way to be 100% certain. However, this may be easily fixed as there appears to be a BIOS fix that is being distributed for it. Just for reference though, the r...

Re: Performance of Picoscope 4262 does not reach expectation

Hi Audioguy, We are not aware of any known aliasing issues with the PicoScope 4262, and we can get clean results (without any significant aliasing) right up to 5MHz signals. The transfer of data (or lack of) between the different views depending upon whether they are split, switched, and which one i...

Hi Zane,

Do you mean that the exported file is being deleted, a previously saved psdata file is being deleted or that the psdata file is just not being saved?

Re: Measurements

Hi BDR, How are you calculating the RMS values? If you're calculating the values from the raw sample data, but only displaying RMS values every 2 or 3 seconds, then you would be better off letting the driver reduce the amount of calculations that need to be done, by downsampling in 'Average' mode, a...

Re: picoscope 2204A => data logger

Hi will87, Following on from my previous comment, if you wanted to log data in PicoScope, it can be done by automatically saving a file once the data has been captured (using alarms). This process can continue for as long as you need to log the data, however, if you are capturing a lot of data, you ...
