Re: Pico 5243D - Sync scope acquisition with AWG signal output

Here is the working setup and code relating to this post. As this is a question we offer get asked. Hardware setup- Connect the require channels. The AWG output can be optionally connected to a input channel. Software- optionally set the scope trigger settings as per normal, or just leave the trigge...

Re: drop-down vert scale issue

Hi,

Does the Dell M4700 support hidpi screen resolution feature? This could be causing the issue.
Here are some possible solutions-

Re: impedance calculation - Power Factor

These maths channels won't in FFT mode in PicoScope 6.
So I would try using the FRA4Picoscope with this new tool-

Re: Accessing Raw Data

Goto the 'Configure Data Table' dialogue by clicking on the table tab, and cog wheel or click 'Configure table' button. Set the table data settings 'Output sample rate' to use the fastest sample rate you have set on your channels. And the then click on 'Last' button to select the latest values for a...

Re: impedance calculation - Power Factor

We now have a formula to give a RMS value using a maths channel. sqrt(integral(A^2)/T) Adding '+freq(A)-freq(A)' to it stops the start of the maths channel starting at a lower value. When using the measures on these maths channels you need to set 'between time rulers' and move time rulers to exclude...

Re: Detail of how does AWG on Pico 5442B work

Note the AWG update rate for PS5000B/D units is 200MHz so this is the maximum frequency that can be generated. The term 'arbitrarywaveform' is your buffer of values/points for the AWG. These are passes as int16_t values, but the AWG resolution for PS5000B/D is 14 bits (output step size approximately...

Re: Calibrating the three-axis accelerometer (PP877)

I have just tested a new PP877 accelerometer, and it works correctly as per the datasheet. The full range is 0-2V per axis -5g to +5g respectively. So for each axis, you get ~1.1V axis facing up to ~0.9V axis facing down. Axis as marked on the sensor. Do you have the scope DC coupled? If you think t...

Re: Error - can not start PicoScope

Our development team have identified the issue. It is related to file signing. We are working to find a work around but this will be fixed in a coming release of the software. Are you running any anitvirus software? You could try disabling it to see if this is causing the issue. Also have your IT de...

Re: Measure DC-Values at "Ruler 1"

Hi Georg,

Unfortunately there is no way to do this. You have manually line up all your voltage rulers for each channel with a time ruler.

Re: Model 2205A + microphone

Condenser Microphone like the one one you mentioned require a Amplifier Circuit. You could simply use a cheap PC microphone, the type with a 3.5mm stereo jack plug. If you buy 3.5mm stereo socket and connect it to a 3-5Vdc supply. Connect '+' in series with a 2k2 resistor to the 'ring' and '-' to th...

Re: PS4824 Streaming + Aggregation

The PicoScope should be able achieve this level of down sampling. The 4824 has maximum streaming rate of 160 MS/s total across all channels So with all 8 channels would give sampling rate of 160 MS/s / 8 = 20MS/s = 50ns interval If you pass in 50ns for the sampleInterval argument into the function p...

Re: TC-08 one channel shows only -270

Hi,

Please email us at support@picotech.com with the unit details, serial number and your contact details. We will need issue a returns number, to have the unit repaired.
So the channel always displays -270 with or without a thermocouple?
