Re: 2206B PicoScope 6 persistence mode

You have a CPU with 2 threads and a single core.
From the task manager you can see 50% load.
PicoSocpe software uses a single thread. So from the software point of view you have a CPU speed problem.
Because if 1 thread is taking 100% of its time it will show up in the task manager as 50% load.

Re: PicoScope 2205A MSO can't decode DCC at timebase >2ms

I am afraid you need a scope with more memory, your scope has only 48k of sample memory if using 2 channel you have 24k/S per channel. Every bit needs at least 5 samples (preferred 10). According the specs you can do 1MS/sec in streaming mode (500kS/sec if 2 ch in use) So in streaming mode it should...

Re: Mains Power Monitoring

for that low speed any of the scopes will do. But: You will also need 2 or 3 of these. https://www.picotech.com/accessories/active-differential-high-voltage/25-mhz-700-v-differential-probe Measuring mains voltages is a danger if you do not know exactly what you are doing. So if you want to measure i...

Re: Capture Date/Time in Data export formats

I also have to add if you really want uS or sub uS accuracy you have to calculate the the offset of the scope timing from the accurate second timing, and do this on a regular base (continue). Because with temperature shift the x-tall frequency of the scope will drift somewhat les than 0.01% or so bu...

Re: Capture Date/Time in Data export formats

If you can write your own software then you can do all what you want and a little bit more. For example on CH1 the data you want to measure and want to know the time. on CH2 a precession signal from GPS or something else that gives a short pulse every second and a longer pulse every minute. Then you...

Re: Longtime streaming mode via USB problem

Depending on the sample rate and if your HD can keep up with the writing.
Also the conversion from integer data to ASCII takes up some (a lot) of time if you want to write 1000000 values per second.

Alarm and focus of PicoScope 6

I have a duration test running on the PicoScope and with a alarm trigger to save current buffer. For some reason the focus of the current application switches to the PicoScope software and when you press a space the capturing is aborted. I can not reproduce this because sometimes the focus is shifte...

Re: Python 2000a control of picoscope 2208B SetSimpleTrigger and Random Noise Issues

O and you are capturing in the ns range while your pulse is 10 ms long. So your capture sample rate is far to high.

Re: Python 2000a control of picoscope 2208B SetSimpleTrigger and Random Noise Issues

It looks like you set the scope in +/- 2V range and measuring mv values.
This are single digit values AKA noise.
You need to set the scope to +/- 50 mV or +/- 20mV the you have the 256 steps more distributed against you signal values.

How many triggers / second do you want to know (maximum) ?
How fast are the events you are looking for (maximum) ?

Re: PICO_BUFFERS_NOT_SET

Ok to get the E version libraries you needed to e-mail Picotech I remember reading this somewhere.

Maybe there is a BUG in the SDK, only someone from Pico can answer / test this for you.
