Re: Any plans for dark theme ?

They are stored in preferences.xml located in the AppData folder

Code: Select all

C:\Users\{user login name}\AppData\Local\Pico Technology\64358d19-ef91-48bb-9ae0-3b4689d44d99
and are not part of the settings or data files.

Re: What data is actually being saved when you choose Save As (.csv)

Each csv file will represent one waveform buffer as collected in the PicoScope software. Please note that the data will not be continuous between files.

Re: Can you trigger on CAN frame or Ethernet payload ?

Serial decoding is performed post capture in the software so can't be used as a trigger event. There are a suite of advanced triggers which, coupled with the deep memory available with PicoScopes and the packet filtering in the software, may help to capture specific scenarios. I would suggest emaili...

Re: Is there a plan to support 100BASE-T1 automotive ethernet?

From the latest news page of our website 100BASE-T1/BroadR-Reach is destined to become the physical layer standard for high-performance automotive applications. It uses PAM3 signaling on a differential twisted pair, which can be impossible t...

Re: Why am I getting more values than requested?

They are used to create the circular buffer within the driver from which the application callback reads the data. They don't need to be equal to the total number of samples you wish to collect but need to be large enough so that the circular buffer doesn't fill up when your application is busy doing...

Re: Signal Generator on DR DAQ

You can use the Sig Gen with PicoScope 6 , PicoLog 6 does not support this feature.

Re: Pico 4224 IEPE with ICP pressure sensor

I can't access that link, but in principal yes. The 3424 would not be able to power the accelerometer so you would need to do this by another means, but by using AC coupling you would get similar operation to our 4224 IEPE scope

Re: Different behavior between 32 and 64 bit drivers

The decay would occur if there is a switch from DC to AC, as if the scope starts sampling in one mode then switches to another. There may be something subtle in your code, such as data types or timings, which is causing the issue in the 64 bit driver. The code base for both drivers is the same, so t...

Re: Different behavior between 32 and 64 bit drivers

Have you tried a hard code of

Code: Select all

int16_t( false )
in place of

Code: Select all

int16_t( GLOBAL_PicoSignal_CouplingMode[0]
in the SetChannel call.

Re: Why am I getting more values than requested?

As you have set AutoStop false, the scope will sample indefinitely, so there is no maximum samples. These parameters are used by the driver to hold a buffer full of raw data that can be accessed after you stop collection. If you only want a set number of samples in total then set AutoStop true.

Re: Different behavior between 32 and 64 bit drivers

If you start with the 64bit version first and then switch to the 32bit does the issue swap around ? It sounds like the second run through the scope is starting in DC mode until the application switches to AC. Posting your code here, or sending it to support@picotech.com , will help us to debug your ...

Re: Time measurement between two channels

The way to get inter channel measurements is to use the Deep Measurement feature, available in the latest versions of the PicoScope 6 software 6.13 and later. Set up you trigger event on Channel B, and the use Measurements->DeepMeasure and create a DeepMeasure for Channels C, all the timings in the ...

Re: Pico ps3406D Streaming to PC

The SDK examples can be modified to stream indefinitely so you should be able to achieve your requirements.

The 3406D is an A series device so you need the ps3000a examples, but make sure that PicoScope 6 is closed otherwise the example won't find the device.
